Monteriggioni: Operation in the woods results in two people being charged with drug dealing.

The Carabinieri of Monteriggioni, in collaboration with those of the Forestry Unit of San Gimignano and Rapolano, on the day of December 3, 2025, they stopped two men inside a bivouac in the woods, in the locality Riciano.
An operation in which they were employed ten soldiers and which allowed the identification and arrest of two Moroccan citizens.

The activity starts from the reporting of some hunters who had encountered a suspicious bivouac in the woods. In the following days, the Carabinieri conducted follow-up operations, arresting and reporting to the local Prefecture several users who were using the drug dealing area. After completing their investigations, they scheduled an operation.

In the early hours of last morning 2th December, the soldiers entered the woods, stopping two people inside the bivouac. Caught by surprise, the two men attempted to flee but were caught and stopped by the soldiers.

At the end of the activity, the Carabinieri recovered two katana swords, two masks, two balaclavas, batteries to recharge cell phones, food and clothing.

Men, a 21enne and an 20enne of Moroccan origin, were reported as presumed responsible for the crimes of drug dealing in competition e unjustified possession of objects capable of offending, Public Prosecutor's Office of Siena.
