Agrigento, man arrested for drug dealing, resistance and violence against a public official
The police had noticed a constant coming and going going in and out of an apartment building
Agrigento, the State Police through effective prevention and monitoring of the city streets, arrests AR, born in 94 and originally from Lica, for possession with the aim of dealing drugs, resistance and violence against a public official.
Staff of the State Police Flying Section of the Agrigento Police Headquarters, during the usual control activity of the territory, noticed a discreet and unusual coming and going of people entering and exiting a condominium building, located in Villaggio Mose.
The police operators, suspicious of this behaviour, began an immediate and scrupulous observation activity through the patrol cars located throughout the area, identifying in a very short time the exact destination of the cars entering and leaving the area under scrutiny.
Inside the housing complex of interest, in fact, there was a well-known criminal from Licata, with several specific precedents for drug dealing.
Suddenly the operators were about to carry out a search for drugs, but the suspect, upon seeing them, he attempted a daring escape in vain, in order to hide the drugs in his possession, but was immediately stopped.
Inside his home, a precision scale and around €37.000 were also found, divided into banknotes of different denominations.
The subject was therefore arrested and subjected to house arrest for the crimes of detention for the purpose of dealing narcotic substances, resistance and violence against a public official.
His position remains under scrutiny by the Judicial Authority pending the validation hearing.
