Agrigento, drugs ready for sale were found in the home of a cohabiting couple
The role of the drug-sniffing dog Ulla was fundamental in finding the substances illegally held in the house
Sciacca (Agrigento), the State Police, as part of the institutional activities aimed at preventing and repressing the phenomenon of drug dealing, during the morning of January 14th, carried out two separate searches at the home of a cohabiting couple living in Sciacca.
The operations carried out made it possible to find, in the immediate availability of 25 year old BM and 22 year old DA, several pieces of narcotic substance believed to be ready for sale (hashish), as well as a sum of money, cleverly concealed, estimated as income or profit from the illicit transfer, amounting to approximately 3500,00 euros in cash, all seized, together with three knives soaked in narcotic substance.
The two, therefore, once declared under arrest, following the order of the Sciacca AG, they were transferred to their home under house arrest.
At the end of the validation hearing, the competent Judge, in validating the restrictive measure adopted, deeming there to be concrete and serious objective elements regarding the crime of possession of narcotic substances for the purpose of dealing, imposed on both of them the coercive measure of the obligation to report daily to the PS police station in Sciacca.
Within the same activity, other person has been administratively reported to the Prefecture as drug user, as she was found in possession of a quantity of narcotics for personal use.
A leading role in the operational conduct of the searches was played by Ulla, drug dog of the State Police who, thanks to its intervention, allowed the Agents to find part of the narcotic substance illegally detained in the home of the suspects.
