There are 20.867 new enrollments expected for the degree course in Medicine and Surgery for 2024-2025. Over 1.200 more than the previous academic year. There are more than 1.500 places available for the degree course in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics. Almost 1.300 places for Veterinary Medicine.

The Minister of University and Research, Anna Maria Bernini, signed decrees number 1.101 and 1.102 which set the permanent places available for access to the single-cycle master's degree course in Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics (Italian and English) and Veterinary Medicine (Italian), intended for candidates from EU countries and non-EU countries, residents in Italy and for candidates from non-EU countries residing abroad. The places were assigned to the universities following the adoption of the Agreement of the Permanent Conference for the relations between the State, the Regions and the autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano for the determination of needs.

Medicine and Surgery of the 20.867 places available, 19.467 are intended for candidates from EU countries and non-EU countries residents in Italy, while 1.400 are reserved for students from non-EU countries residing abroad. In the previous academic year, the places available for candidates from EU and non-EU countries residing in Italy were 18.331, while 1.305 registrations were available for candidates from non-EU countries residing abroad.

The new enrolments expected for the degree course in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics are 1.535 of which 116 are reserved for candidates from non-EU countries residing abroad. Last year, 1.276 places were assigned to candidates from EU and non-EU countries residing in Italy and 110 places to candidates from non-EU countries residing abroad.

There are 1.272 places available for the degree course in Veterinary Medicine for 2024-2025. Of these places: 1.209 are foreseen for students from EU and non-EU countries residing in Italy and 63 are for candidates from non-EU countries residing abroad. Compared to the 1.082 places in the previous academic year for candidates from EU and non-EU countries residing in Italy and the 59 places for candidates from non-EU countries residing abroad.

As foreseen in the selection calendar for the degree courses with scheduled admission yesterday, On Tuesday 30 July, the second of the two tests for the single-cycle master's degree courses in Medicine and Surgery and in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics was held, delivered in Italian. Today, however, the second admission test for single-cycle degree courses in Veterinary Medicine. For Medicine and Surgery and Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics taught in English, the tests are scheduled for Tuesday 17 September 2024.

Aspiring doctors have until 15.00pm on 2 September 2024 to express their preferences for universities for registration purposes. The choice can be made via the appropriate online platform.

The publication of the results anonymously is scheduled for August 8th and the candidate can view their work and score on August 28th. While the national merit ranking will be published on September 10th.
