Brescia, works for the “Carducci” lower secondary school

Brescia, During the summer, between 15 June and 4 September, two important interventions were carried out in the "Carducci" primary school of modernization and building and energy requalification.
During the first intervention, 18 sets of toilets were renovated and two bathrooms for disabled people were created on the mezzanine floor and on the first floor. Existing floors, coverings, doors and sanitary ware were removed, including connections, and new coverings and new ceramic flooring were installed. New bathroom fixtures have been installed, more functional to usability and hygiene needs, and new wooden doors.
Two toilets for disabled people have also been created inside two existing bathrooms (one on the mezzanine floor and one on the first floor), with access from the corridor via a sliding door, similar to a treasure chest. Finally, the painting of all the rooms affected by the intervention was carried out.
During the second intervention, approximately 250 iron frames (for a total of 850 square meters) were replaced with PVC frames with double glazing with high thermal and acoustic insulation performance. The work, aimed at containing energy consumption, was commissioned by A2A Calore&Servizi.

COST OF THE INTERVENTION

Total investment cost of the works 445.764,89 euros plus VAT of which:
• contractual amount 115.764,89 euros + VAT (base auction amount 168.233,51 euros plus VAT) for the building redevelopment of the toilets;
• 330 thousand euros plus VAT paid by A2A Calore&Servizi Srl for the replacement of windows and doors.
