Albenga: another arrest by the Carabinieri in the fight against drug dealing.

This time, a 24-year-old Moroccan was in trouble when he was stopped with 120,83 grams of hashish, 6,91 grams of cocaine, a knife and 265 euros in cash hidden in his wallet.

The Carabinieri are always very attentive in combating the phenomenon of drug dealing and consumption.

The Military of the Operational and Radiomobile Nucleus of the Albenga Company, during night-time checks, intensified during the hot summer evenings throughout the Ingauno territory, arrested a 24-year-old for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.

Once again, the careful control of the territory by the Carabinieri inside a square, a well-known drug dealing area, led to the identification of a subject, already known despite his young age for his numerous criminal records, even specific ones, who at the sight of the soldiers tried to hide among the parked cars.
The investigators therefore decided to proceed with the control of the 24-year-old who, having noticed the presence of the Carabinieri, tried to escape in order to elude the control, but was promptly stopped by the officers. Once stopped, the young man was found in possession of 120,83 grams of hashish, 6,91 grams of cocaine, a knife and the sum of 265 euros in cash, hidden in the bag he was carrying over his shoulder.

The narcotic substance, the knife and the sum of money, probable proceeds of the drug dealing activity carried out by the arrested man, were seized.

The operation made it possible to steal the drug from the Ingauna drug dealing area, which would have brought in around 2000 euros on the market.

The 24-year-old was arrested and temporarily held in the security cells of the Albenga Company. In the subsequent validation hearing with a direct trial, the judge validated the arrest and ordered the precautionary measure of a ban on residence in the province of Savona.
The proceedings are currently in the preliminary phase and the measures adopted so far do not imply the liability of the accused as no final decision has been taken by the judicial authority.
