Pontecagnano Faiano: Control of the territory, stolen goods worth several thousand euros recovered

In Pontecagnano Faiano, the Carabinieri of the local station, during a dynamic territory control service aimed at combating property crimes, in suburban road areas they have a van travelling at high speed was intercepted and ordered to stop. After a long chase the occupants abandoned the vehicle and disappeared on foot into the surrounding countryside.

From subsequent investigations the Carabinieri they ascertained that the vehicle, which was also stolen, was carrying workshop equipment and tools with a commercial value of several thousand euros, material later found to have been stolen from a company in Battipaglia, whose owners the goods have been returned. Investigations continue to track down the perpetrators of the theft.
