Rimini: the Highway Police arrest a citizen for the crime of possession and dealing of narcotics.

A patrol of the State Police - Riccione Highway Police Sub-section on road surveillance duty proceeded on the SP:18 in the locality of Taverna di Monte Colombo (RN), to order a Ford Raptor Pick-Up with three people on board to stop.

During the check, the officers immediately suspected that there might have been a narcotic substance such as marijuana on board the vehicle since they could smell it very strongly.
At this point the police officers decided to carry out a more thorough check and after having fully identified the three individuals they proceeded to search their personal and vehicle areas.

The search allowed the discovery on one of the three subjects of a bag containing a narcotic substance which later turned out to be marijuana for a weight of 110,28 grams.
The young man, an Italian national living in the Province of Rimini, assumed ownership of the substance for personal use and told the officers that he had recently purchased it from an individual in the nearby municipality of Sassofeltrio (RN).
In the meantime, the police officers of the Judicial Police Squad of the Rimini Traffic Police Section and the Riccione Sub-section also intervened on the spot and took over the direction of the investigation activities by going to the municipality of Sassofeltrio where, after a sudden investigation activity during the night, the place where the sale of the narcotic drug had taken place could be identified, traceable to a private residence. The officers, after having identified the occupant of the property, a Romanian citizen, proceeded to search the house, finding 500 grams of hashish and 54,7 grams of marijuana as well as the sum in banknotes of different cut equal to €880.

The drugs and the sum of money were seized and the person was arrested for the crime of possession and dealing.
All the activity was reported to the public prosecutor on duty who ordered the summary trial.

The arrest was validated with the application of the precautionary measure of house arrest with an electronic bracelet.

The Italian citizen subjected to the first check was instead reported at liberty.
