The operations room sent a crew from the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office to search the Port area, while the other crew was preparing to reach the historic center area, where thanks to the use of a specific traceability application, installed on a cell phone that was inside the backpack stolen by the man, it was possible to locate the smartphone using GPS.

While searching for the fugitive, in a side street of the historic center, the Flying Squad spotted a foreign man, riding an electric women's bicycle, which corresponded to the description provided by the employee who had reported the theft.
The man was stopped and taken to the police station to be identified, as he had no documents.
Once at the office, the latter began to get agitated, waving and shouting insistently, adopting violent attitudes towards the agents, both verbally, uttering continuous threats, and physically, hitting them with kicks and punches, making the act of identification difficult. .
