A man who had to serve a sentence of over 10 years has been wanted for a few months: an arrest by the State Police.

He was arrested by the Rimini State Police a fifty-four-year-old Italian, definitively convicted to the penalty of more than 10 years of imprisonment for the commission of numerous crimes against property, against the person and forgery crimes.
The man, of Neapolitan origin, burdened by numerous judicial and police precedents, known to the police for years and untraceable for some time, he had been wanted since the end of May, when the Attorney General's Office at the Court of Appeal of Bologna had issued a provision for the execution of concurrent sentences to atone for the final sentence, 10 years, 7 months and 29 days of imprisonment, for crimes against property, against the person and forgery in relation to events committed in Rimini-Riccione and Forlì in the period 2013-2018.
The investigators of Flying Squad, following a targeted investigative activity aimed at capturing the subject, after several weeks of incessant searches, they managed to locate him on the afternoon of July 15, recognizing him without any doubt, while he was wandering on foot in the seaside area of Viserba di Rimini.
The wanted man, reluctant to be checked, initially showed the police an identity card showing the details of another person, but, having discovered himself, he attempted to escape, putting up strenuous resistance to arrest, threatening both the Flying Squad personnel and the that of the Flying Police, who in the meantime intervened to help, also throwing kicks and punches at the officers, with the aim of earning impunity.
The same, therefore, he was also arrested in flagrante delicto for threats and resistance to a public official and for possession of the false document, registered in the name of a fictitious person, valid, moreover, for expatriation from the national territory.
The arrested man, after completing the necessary formalities, was taken to the Rimini District Prison at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
Following the very direct procedure following the flagrant arrest, he was sentenced to 2 years and 8 months in prison.
