Rimini: He does not stop at the Police checkpoint and simulates the theft of his own car, a young boy reported

During the night of Friday 17 January 2025, the State Police personnel reported a young Italian man at liberty for the crimes of Resisting a Public Official and Simulation of a Crime.

Specifically, at around 02.20:XNUMX, a crew from the police section of the Rimini Police Headquarters, during the regular service of territorial control, noticed a car whose driver was maintaining an uncertain pace, accelerating at the sight of the Police car. The officers, having immediately become suspicious, decided to carry out a police check by stopping the car.

The driver, however, despite the stop being imposed both manually and with the emergency lights and sounds, did not stop the car, but rather accelerated, eluding the control.

At that point the patrol car started chasing the vehicle, coming alongside the driver, but the driver accelerated again, even passing through built-up areas at a very high speed and endangering both the police and other road users. until it entered Sammarinese territory.

For reasons of convenience and after the investigations of the judicial police, the officers waited for the driver at his home, having clearly recognized his face during the chase. However, the same, simulating the theft of his car in the parking lot of a well-known nightclub, went to the Police Headquarters to file the complaint.

The car was found the next morning abandoned on a farm near his house and the young man was reported for the crimes indicated above and reports were drawn up against him for violations of the highway code for several hundred euros.
