Rimini: 29-Year-Old Arrested with False Documents and Stolen Passport

A patrol belonging to the Rimini Border Police Office, as part of aterritory control activities of competence, proceeded to control of a subject driving a car near the SS16. The man, of 29 years, he showed his Moldovan document declaring himself a tourist. During the check, three documents of suspicious origin were found inside the car. The technical checks carried out allowed us to ascertain how two Romanian identity cards had been cleverly falsified, while a Moldovan passport was wanted for theft in Moldova, as indicated by Interpol. All the documents were not registered to the driver who was merely transporting them.

Therefore, the foreigner, he was arrested for possession of false identity documents valid for travel abroad outside of the cases of personal use, and reported for receiving stolen goods (Moldova passport). The checks carried out in the European Union systems also allowed us to determine how the arrested person was actually an irregular in the national territory and not a tourist, having stayed for over 380 days without a residence permit. The foreigner was brought before the Single Judge of Rimini with a direct trial. The arrest in flagrante delicto was validated, the terms for the defense were granted and the coercive measure was issued against the defendantobligation to report to the Judicial Police three times a week.
