Rivodutri: two men steal a car and then abandon it. Arrested.

La Rivodutri Carabinieri Station, at the end of an investigative activity, he reported to the local authorities Prosecutor's Office two men, both residents of the province of Rieti and already with some previous police records, for car theft in competition.

The facts date back to the end of June, when it is a car was stolen in Poggio Bustone. During one of the usual territorial control services aimed at preventing crimes, in particular those against property, a patrol of Carabinieri he found the car in another location in the same municipality, where it had been abandoned by thieves.

After carrying out various checks, including technical surveys aimed at detect any biological or fingerprint traces on the car, and having collected several testimonies from people informed about the facts, the operators managed to document the presence of the two accused in the place where the car was stolen, shortly before the theft.

At that point, having collected various pieces of evidence against the criminals, they were reported in a state of freedom to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Rieti and will now have to answer for the crime of aggravated theft in competition.

The stolen car was eventually returned to its rightful owner.
