Contigliano – Greccio (Rieti). The students of the 'Scuola Antonio Malfatti' visit the provincial command and experience “a day as a carabiniere”.
As part of the annual campaign that the force promotes for the training and dissemination of the culture of legality among young people, the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Rieti hosted the students of the secondary school “Antonio Malfatti” of the school district of Contigliano – Greccio.
The project includes a cycle of meetings and conferences organized by the Carabinieri to discuss specific topics and of interest such as bullying, the correct use of the internet and social networks, road safety, environmental protection, the risks linked to the use of alcohol and drugs.
The students, accompanied by their teachers, experienced "A DAY AS A CARABINERE". Welcomed by Lieutenant Paolo BRIGOTTI, Commander of the Contigliano Station, they examined the activity of the operators of the Operations Centre, engaged daily in the coordination of external patrols and in responding to citizens who arrive through the single emergency number "112".
The young people were also able to closely observe the brand new Alfa Romeo "Giulia" car radios and the Ducati "Multistrada" motorcycles, supplied to the Radiomobile Section of the Rieti Company, with an illustration of the operation of the equipment and on-board instrumentation, as well as the apparatus for photo-signalling and fingerprint detection.
Other meetings with students from the Rieti province will be organized until the end of the current school year: the objective always remains to make the little ones better acquainted with the Carabinieri and to raise their awareness of legality.
