Venosa: Carabinieri arrest 47-year-old for abuse, drugs, and a katana at home.

The attention of the military personnel is always high, especially when they are called to intervene due to conduct from “code red”. And it is precisely thanks to the constant staff training called to operate and to high sensitivity now developed on the topics in question, which the day of August, yet another request for help received by the Carabinieri of the Venosa Station, it did not go unheard.

In the course of the morning, in fact, a thirty-two years old of foreign origin, but now resident in Italy for several years, turned to the military, after having suffered, for likely reasons for jealousy, on the part of his partner, yet another physical and verbal aggression in the presence of friends and one's own younger daughter.

The Carabinieri, after having collected the woman's complaint and having learned that the abusive conduct, never reported in the past, yes had been going on for about 3 years, and after having developed preliminary investigations, which also consisted in the acquisition of the video surveillance footage who recorded the assault suffered and reported by the woman, went to her partner's house, a 47enne venosino, already known to the police.

Upon entering the house, their attention was drawn by a strong acrid odor that pervaded the house. Suspicious, they then proceeded to a house search. which allowed us to find:

• 1,3 grams of cocaine

• 197 grams of marijuana

• 4 precision scales

• material for packaging the narcotic substance

• a katana of about one meter with 66 cm blade

Drugs and a bladed weapon were seized, while for the man the controller and has been translated into Potenza County Jail available to the Judicial Authority.

Yesterday morning, the Preliminary Investigations Judge of the Court of Potenza ha the arrest was validated operated by the Carabinieri and ordered the man to be taken into custody precautionary measure of house arrest.
