Trivigno: Carabinieri discover domestic marijuana cultivation, local resident arrested.

Even in a small provincial town, the Carabinieri, thanks to the daily commitment of the Stations, guarantees careful control of the territory with the precise intent of safeguarding its tranquility and ensuring compliance with the Laws.
During a specific operation to combat the production and dealing of narcotics coordinated by the military of the Acerenza Company, in Trivigno, the Carabinieri of the local station, assisted by those of Brindisi di Montagna, carried out a check at the home of a local man who had been under the scrutiny of investigators for some time.
The investigations, after the initial findings that led to the discovery of 11 grams of hashish contained in two packages, involved all the rooms of the building.

In the bedroom, in particular, a small homemade greenhouse was discovered, equipped with a lighting, ventilation and irrigation system, with inside 4 marijuana plants, 12 glass jars with dried inflorescences and 2 containers with the relative seeds.

The searches were extended to the immediate vicinity where the man cultivated some of his own land and where the men of the Benemerita discovered another 2 marijuana plants of almost 2 meters, another 2 jars of dried inflorescences and 4 jars full of seeds.
The entire drug and the material necessary for cultivation were seized and the man, at the end of the formal procedures, was declared under arrest and confined to house arrest at the disposal of the Potenza Judicial Authority.

The GIP of the Court of Potenza subsequently validated the arrest made by the Carabinieri, ordering the suspect, for whom the presumption of innocence applies until a final conviction, the precautionary measure of the obligation to report to the Judicial Police.
The deep knowledge of the territory, the continuous interaction with the community and the careful monitoring of its dynamics demonstrate once again how the constant presence of the Carabinieri, even in the smallest realities, manages to guarantee closeness and safety for citizens.
