In particular, in Lavello, the Carabinieri of the local station, during a targeted service aimed at combating predatory phenomena as well as drug dealing, arrested a 35-year-old local man for possession for the purpose of dealing narcotic substances.
The man, on board his bicycle, was trying to go unnoticed by the attentive gaze of the soldiers by trying to move away, albeit discreetly, as quickly as possible from the school-coloured vehicle.

His attitude, however, did not mislead the men of the force who, after having ordered him to stop, proceeded with a personal search and found on him a switchblade of almost 20 cm and more than 700 euros in banknotes of various denominations .

The subsequent investigations, also extended to his home, allowed the discovery of 5,70 grams of cocaine and a precision scale.
The narcotic and the money found, most likely the proceeds of the illicit drug dealing activity, were seized and the suspect, as ordered by the Potenza Judicial Authority, taken to his home under house arrest.
The man, following the hearing held before the GIP of the Court of Potenza, which validated the arrest, was subjected to the measure of house arrest.
