Rionero in Vulture: 28 year old shoots at neighbor's door. Arrested.

I Carabinieri of the Rionero station in Vulture (Potenza) and the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Melfi Company (Potenza) have arrested a 28-year-old from Rionero for illegal possession of a firearm, receiving stolen goods and making serious threats.

In particular, on the evening of last Wednesday, following a request for intervention received by the Single Emergency Number 112, the soldiers of the Corps went to a private home where it had been reported the explosion of a gunshot.

The investigations launched immediately made it possible to ascertain that a young man, immediately identified as a 28-year-old local man, for reasons still being precisely identified, he went there armed with a gun and, after knocking on the front door of a neighbor's house, fired a gunshot and immediately fled.

The immediate searches by the Carabinieri, conducted without interruption, initially made it possible to locate and block the perpetrator of the gesture and, subsequently, also recover the weapon used that same, meanwhile, had attempted to hide.

The young man, after completing the formal procedures, was declared under arrest and confined to the Potenza prison, at the disposal of the Potenza Judicial Authority, while the gun, a 7,65 complete with magazine containing other bullets of the same caliber, was seized.

The arrest was then validated by the GIP Office of the Court of Potenza which ordered the precautionary measure of custody in prison against the 28-year-old.
