Potenza: Major seizure of drugs and money. 2 young people end up in handcuffs

On Monday night, at Potenza, Carabinieri of the Operational Department of via Pretoria, during specific activities aimed at repression of drug trafficking, have completed a brilliant operation with the seizure of a considerable quantity of drugs andarrest of two young people.

Specifically, the attention of the military of the Arma was drawn by a continuous movement of people from a garage located in the western part of the city for which they decided to intervene by blocking and identifying a 20 year old boy, resident in the province, and an 18 year old girl, domiciled in the center.

The suspicious attitude of the two induced the Carabinieri of the Operational Department to carry out an investigation search of the premises which allowed us to find, inside the garage, well 10 blocks of hashish, to over 1 kilo, and various materials for cutting and packaging the drug.

The following searches extended to homes some young people have allowed to find, at the boy's, 3 more loaves of hashish, for a total weight of approximately 300 grams, 37 grams of marijuana, 17 grams of cocaine, a precision digital scale and the cash sum of over 20 thousand euros, considered to be the probable proceeds of illicit drug dealing. Only some hashish residue a girl's house.

Amazing, material and money have been subjected to seizure and the two young men were declared under arrest and, at the end of the ritual formalities, translated to the Potenza County Jail as ordered by the Potenza Judicial Authority.

The Preliminary Investigations Judge of the local Court subsequently validated the arrests carried out by the Carabinieri of the Operational Department, applying the following to the suspects: 20-year-old held in custody, house arrest for the 18 year old.

The significant operating result achieved, the result of constant and careful monitoring of the territory, represents a tangible demonstration of the continuous and incessant commitment shown by the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Potenza of protection of legality and in safeguarding public safety.
