Potenza Folk Festival 2025: three days of music, tradition and celebration in honor of San Gerardo.

Everything is ready for the Power Folk Festival, a three days of music and fun organized on the occasion of the festivities of the patron saint of Potenza, San Gerardo, by the association “The Saint's Bearers”.

From today, Monday 26 May and until Wednesday 28, Piazza Mario Pagano will host concerts by nationally renowned artists.

It will start with the concert of Tarantulas of Tricarico, who will celebrate their 50 years of activity with the PFF audience. And again the Wedding Rumba, seven young talents from Bologna who, with their distinctive sound, a harmonious fusion of ska, funk, Latin and Afro rhythms, have become masters in making every stage vibrate, transforming their concerts into authentic parties.

Tuesday 27th will then be the turn of the Moac Reserve; overwhelming rhythms for this musical collective based mainly on the strength of acoustic instruments.

Then the leading artists of the event, the revelation group of the latest edition of X Factor, and the concert of the first of May in Rome, The patagarri. The quintet that ranges from swing, jazz, gipsy and blues, from the Jazz standards of the 20s to Italian popular music with nuances of classical music and hints of South American music, will make Piazza Mario Pagano dance, which will be packed for the occasion. On the last day of the festival, the Speedy,  Musicians and Three merry dead boys, who with their inevitable masks will make the notes of pure rock'n'roll resonate.

On the 27th, on stage, there will be a moment of remembrance and recognition of talents with the “Portatore d'oro – Antonio Statuto” Award, which this year will be assigned to Francesca Palumbo, silver medalist in team foil at the last Paris Olympics”. The fencer from Potenza, in China for sporting commitments, will thank the association and all those present with a video massage addressed to the square. The award will be given instead to some “young promises”…

Then there's space for the party with the installation from 26th to 28th May of “La cantina del Portatore” in Piazza Mario Pagano where good food and good wine will accompany the celebrations between dances and participation with the usual hospitality of the Porters.
