Acerenza: Dstate 3 people and eadministrative sanctions of 7.500 euros were raised

Continue thework of intensification of the institutional services implemented by the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Potenza and carried out through the use of the military of the dependent Companies and Stations distributed throughout the territory. The Carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Nucleus of the Acerenza Company, together with those of the Cancellara and Oppido Lucano Stations, have carried out an extraordinary territorial control service aimed at preventing and repressing crimes against property and violations in the field of road traffic. In this context it was strengthened presence on municipal roads, along state roads and in places where young people gather in order to ensure compliance with the law.

During the service, which involved the surveillance of specifically identified areas, the following were 156 people identified and 127 cars checked, carrying out several vehicle searches and breathalyser tests. Overall, administrative fines of 7.500 euros were imposed, two cars were seized and the circulation of two others was suspended. Public establishments, sensitive targets and rural areas at risk were also checked. During the aforementioned activities, the military personnel also carried out report at liberty:

• an 43 year old of Moroccan origins, resident in the province of Foggia, found in possession of burglary tools, ropes and altered keys, hidden inside his car. The material was seized and made available to the Judicial Authority;
• an 28 year old resident in the province of Potenza surprised at driving a vehicle with a cloned license registered to a third party. The young man, in addition to answering for his conduct before the Judicial Authority, will have to pay a fine administrative penalty exceeding €5.000;
• an 30 year old always from the province of Potenza for driving under the influence of alcohol. The man, checked at driving his vehicle in an evidently altered state of mind and body, was caught with a blood alcohol level higher than 2 g/l. The driving license was withdrawn and will be sent to the Prefecture of Potenza for subsequent suspension.

The control activity and the constant monitoring of the vast territory of Potenza represent an indispensable tool for the prevention of crimes. and their continuous intensification constitutes an essential objective for the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Potenza in the fight against any form of illegality.
