Zangrillo 'Security and Defense are essential, it is necessary to valorise workers'
“Today is a significant moment for the Security and Defense Sector: a new contractual season opens with the start of the negotiation procedures relating to the three-year period 2022-2024. Despite the rather complicated economic situation, we worked to achieve a result that was by no means a given". The Minister for Public Administration, Senator Paul Zangrillo, thus opened negotiations with the unions for the renewal of the contract of non-managerial staff of the Security and Defense Sector, three-year period 2022-2024.
“I have always believed, today more than ever, that it was necessary to valorise workers who, with professionalism and passion, guarantee essential services for the State. And you are an extraordinary example of this.", added Zangrillo addressing the trade union representatives among which, for the first time, there are professional trade union associations among the military and no longer the COCERs. “Their work of these years constitutes a fundamental heritage which, I am sure, will also be valorised by the Professional Associations of a military nature, which have taken up the baton while maintaining the same objectives: the protection of the collective interests of the personnel with a view to solidarity and social harmony".
“Our important task is to continue to work together with a collaborative and dialogue spirit – concluded Zangrillo –: only in this way will we be able to carry forward and achieve the great growth and development goals that our country deserves."
