The Local Police receives 2,5 million from the Lombardy Region for the purchase of technical and instrumental equipment.
The Lombardy Region has financed 106 projects, for a total of 2,5 million euros, for the purchase of technical-instrumental equipment, renewal and increase of the local police vehicle fleet for 2024.
The funds were allocated to the Municipalities, Unions of Municipalities, Mountain Communities, Provinces and metropolitan cities of Milano.
“An important measure – said the Councilor for Security, Romano La Russa – to guarantee greater safety in Lombardy. In addition to the traditional supplies for local police forces, we have also financed video surveillance systems for municipalities that have requested it. With this funding, entities will be able to purchase tasers, bodycams and other tools that are now fundamental for local police activities, as well as renewing the fleet of vehicles available to the commands. To increase urban safety and protect citizens, modern and functional equipment is needed that allow officers' activities to be made even more efficient. I thank once again the men and women in uniform who are busy in the area every day."
