The Gardens of Piazza Quattro Giornate in Vomero, dedicated to Antonio Amoretti, the last partisan of the Four Days of Naples, recently passed away.
The Mayor Gaetano Manfredi, the President of Municipality 5, Clementina Cozzolino, and the municipal councilor Maria Grazia Vitelli spoke at the naming ceremony.
The decision was approved by the City Council last July on the proposal of the Deputy Mayor with responsibility for Toponymy Laura Lieto.
“We are really happy – declared Mayor Manfredi – of the presence of so many students, teachers and citizens of a neighborhood that was the protagonist of significant moments of the Four Days of Naples revolt. Today's great participation is very important because it means that there is a very lived and deeply felt memory on the part of the Neapolitans, which can and must be renewed every day with daily commitment".
