Terni, after the Ternana-Avellino match a fan throws a glass bottle and hits another: repentant, he reports himself to the police
Terni, lThe person responsible for throwing a glass bottle which hit an elderly fan, causing head injuries judged to be healable in 15 days, during the Ternana/Avellino post-match celebrations on Saturday 3 April, has come forward admitting responsibility for the act and declaring himself very repentant.
The man, who identifies himself as a 35-year-old from Terni, while celebrating the promotion of Ternana to Serie B with other fans who spontaneously gathered in Piazza Tacito, threw a glass bottle in the direction of staff employed in the OP service on the occasion of the football match in question.
The object, which did not hit the FF.OO. personnel, hit the head of the fan, a 78-year-old from Terni who was also present in the square to witness the celebrations.
His statements, verified with the images taken by DIGOS, served to reconstruct what happened. The repentant author was reported for violence against a public official, dangerous throwing of things, aggravated injuries.
The investigation activity was coordinated by the Public Prosecutor of Terni who - thanks to the identification of the culprit of the gesture - hopes for serenity in the environment, not only in sports, also in view of the upcoming commitments.
