"The signing of the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) Joint Venture agreement confirms the importance of the understanding between Italy, the United Kingdom and Japan. The GCAP represents a milestone in the development of advanced technologies and an excellent example of the strong international cooperation between our nations,” said the Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto.
"Thanks to this partnership, we are acquiring a new generation system that will not only strengthen the defense capabilities of our countries, but will also ensure a significant boost to the Italian aerospace industry, generating innovation and opportunities for future generations. It is a project in which the Italian, Japanese and British Defence Departments firmly believe, both for the contribution to security that the GCAP will be able to provide, and for the significant contribution that the project will be able to give to the research and development sector. The repercussions in the civil sector, in terms of patents, industrial development and employment, will be real and significant.,” he added Little cross.
Finally, the minister expressed his appreciation for the Joint Venture launched, which he defines as a shared governance model for GCAP. "Joining forces in a joint company is not just an organizational choice, but a concrete commitment towards a common vision of security and technological progress.” he concluded Little cross.
