Reggio Calabria: Capponi, “The Region invests 7 million to support activities and promotion”

"We confirm the constant and continuous commitment of the Calabria Region for the Culture sector, financing the operators of the sector with a total of 7 million euros. These are investments capable of generating a flywheel effect not only in the direct economy of the sector, but in the broader sector of services that affect our regional territory".

This is what the Councilor for Culture of the Calabria Region, Caterina Capponi, declares, in announcing the executive phase of the notices Cultural Activities 2023 and Cultural Promotion Events 2024 with the Final rankings to be published soon, which provide for financing of the sector for 7 million euros, respectively 3 million for cultural activities and 4 million for cultural promotion events.

“In the daily contact with the Culture sector for the development of the project lines already defined – comments Councillor Capponi – I have significantly accelerated the procedures underway, in the belief that the Culture sector needs certain and timely answers. At the same time, I have started a reflection, which I will illustrate to President Occhiuto, on a broader re-engineering of the Notices, to make them even more corresponding to the needs of the territory, both in terms of cultural offerings and the effectiveness of the financing connected to them”.
