Redevelopment of the Ceravolo stadium Catanzaro: green light for the second batch of interventions to meet the requirements imposed by the Lega Serie B.

Green light from the Catanzaro municipal council for the second batch of interventions on the Ceravolo Stadium which have as their object the adaptation of structures and spaces for television and functional needs.

The administration gave the green light to the project, prepared by the public works sector and reported by the councillor Raffaele Scalise, which concerns the redevelopment and refunctionalization works of the "Ceravolo" through i infrastructural criteria envisaged by the 2023-24 series B national licensing system.

In particular, the interventions will be aimed at making the facility compliant with stadium safety regulations, in order to obtain the usability of all sectors and respond to the growing needs of the fans, also through a better aesthetic and functional organization of the surrounding spaces.

The works planned in the grandstand sector, in order to fulfill the required requirements, include the implementation of toilet facilities through the creation of bathroom blocks under the grandstand steps in the free bays.

Always in the same sector, they will be obtained at least 50 seats in the covered grandstand for the authorities, an exclusive hospitality area near the seats of honor and a parking area behind the grandstand, in the area where the currently abandoned field C was located.

The distinguished area will be affected by a series of interventions on the external area, to guarantee parking near the entrance of the teams and allocate a space for television media.

In the services building, coverage of the commentators' positions and the press gallery will be ensured and, among other things, the rooms intended for the VAR room will be delimited.

«The administration, after having approved the project, will proceed quickly with the publication of the tender in order to start the first necessary works in a short time. to meet the requirements imposed by the Lega Serie B», states the councilor Scalise.

«As in the case of the turf renovation project, which will be awarded shortly, we worked on this too, calendar in hand, to forge ahead, standing alongside Catanzaro Calcio, and arrive ready for the start of the next championship».
