Participation of Undersecretary Tripodi at the inauguration of the bilateral forum “German-Italian Young Leaders Dialogue Spinelli Forum”

Undersecretary Tripodi inaugurated, together with the German Minister of State for Europe and Climate, Anna Luehrmann, an initiative to create a forum for dialogue for young Italian and German "leaders". 

The undersecretary Mary Tripodi opened in Berlin, together with Anna Luehrmann, German State Minister for Europe and Climate, the third edition of the bilateral forum “German-Italian Young Leaders Dialogue Spinelli Forum”. The initiative, carried out jointly by the Italian and German Ministries of Foreign Affairs with the support of the think-tanks “Institut für Europäische Politik” and Institute for International Political Studies, aims to create a forum for dialogue for young Italian and German "leaders".

In his speech, Undersecretary Tripodi underlined how in this delicate international situation, it is essential that the EU and its member states demonstrate foresight, cohesion and pragmatism.

“There are many challenges to face” said Tripodi, addressing the European Union, referring not only to the crisis in Gaza and Ukraine but also to migration and energy transition.
“In the face of such delicate challenges, Germany and Italy know that they need a more structured dialogue, which involves the various
joints of the State, the private sector and civil society.” he continued underlining the Italian Undersecretary Tripodi.

On the sidelines of the Forum, Tripodi had a profitable meeting with the German Minister Anna Luerhmann, focused on cooperation between the two countries in the political and economic spheres and committed to the priorities of next Italian presidency of the G7.
