New Lombardy-Umbria flight. Fontana and Tesei: "opportunities to develop tourism and connections between businesses".
From today Lombardy and Umbria are connected by a new daily flight on the route Milano-Perugia. In particular, from Monday to Friday the connection involves the airport Milano Bergamo Orio al Serio, while at the weekend Milano Linate.
The initiative was presented today at Palazzo Lombardia by the two regional presidents, Attilio Fontana for Lombardy e Donatella Tesei for Umbria, and by the respective regional councilors for Infrastructure and Public Works, Claudia Maria Terzi for Lombardy and Enrico Melasecche Germini for Umbria.
President Fontana - "This new air route – underlined Fontana – will be fundamental to allow the development of tourism on the one hand and connections between Lombard and Umbrian businesses on the other, considering that Umbria, already central for tourist attractiveness, is becoming increasingly also strategic from an economic-productive point of view. The new flight, therefore, is an additional opportunity for both Lombardy and Umbria".
President Tesei - "The new flight – said Tesei – increases the transport possibilities for our Region and is of great importance for services and tourism. With Lombardy we are implementing relationships through projects that concern infrastructure, as in this case, but also synergies between companies that operate in the respective territories".
Third Party Councillor - "We worked in perfect harmony – said the Lombardy regional councilor Terzi – to achieve a common goal and ensure that this project became reality. We are certain that the initiative will find positive results, contributing to increasing tourist flows and trade".
Melasecche Germini Councillor - "This connection – said the Umbrian regional councilor Melasecche Germini – contributes to 'breaking' Umbria's isolation. For us it is a day to mark in the annals".
