Mountain safety and rescue service for the current season. The Police Commissioner of Sondrio meets the managers of the ski facilities.

This morning the Police Commissioner of Sondrio, Carlo Ambrogio Enrico Mazza, met at the Police Headquarters with the managers of the ski areas of the Province, Aprica, Bormio, Chiesa in Valmalenco, Madesimo, Livigno, to analyze the activity carried out so far by the policemen of the Security Service and Mountain Rescue and take stock of the current season which still promises to be long thanks to the significant snowfalls of recent days.

During the meeting, the organizational and management aspects of the services offered in ski resorts were explored in depth from the point of view of safety on the slopes. They were also analyze the critical issues found during the daily activities carried out by the State Police personnel and reported to the plant managers and the improvement interventions made with a view to the constant collaboration between all the actors involved – facility managers, slope managers and ski police teams – according to the indications provided at the beginning of the season by the Police Commissioner.

During the meeting, the Commissioner also illustrated the operational results achieved in the first 3 months of the 2023/2024 season by the State Police personnel, which show a substantial increase compared to the same period last season.
