Minister Zangrillo at Officina 2025: “Youth and innovation are the future of Public Administration”

Minister for Public Administration Paolo Zangrillo participated in the second edition of Officina 2025, a project dedicated to the valorization of young talents as a lever for renewal and innovation in Italian public institutions. During the event, the Minister underlined the importance of the new generations in guiding the digital transition and presented initiatives aimed at making the Public Administration more attractive through “InPA” apprenticeship, internship and doctorate programs.

The Minister for Public Administration and Senator of Forza Italia Paolo Zangrillo, participated in the second edition of Officina 2025, hosted at ANCI Lombardia, underlining theimportance of young people as protagonists of the renewal of Italian public institutions.

Officine Italia is an association of young professionals born with theaim to build a more forward-looking and inclusive country, promoting social sustainability, talent development and civic entrepreneurship.

 During his speech, Minister Zangrillo underlined the'importance of the project “Officina 2025” defining it as “a real innovation laboratory capable of offering young talents the opportunity to experience the field, promoting personal growth and, at the same time, that of the administrations participating in the program".

Addressing the young participants, the Minister added: “You young people are bearers of innovative ideas, of inexhaustible energy and of a way of seeing the world with new eyes. This is why we need your energy and your expectations to look to the future with hope.. "

The Minister highlighted the cunique contribution that the new generations can offer, especially in the context of the digital transition: “Your skills are essential to create faster and more efficient processes that respond to the real needs of citizens and businesses. "

Among the initiatives promoted by the Department of Public Service and aimed at young people, the Minister recalled the two tools introduced for the first time in the public sector and which can be used by central and territorial administrations such as the apprenticeship and training and work contract. Added to these are the “Internships InPA” and “Doctorates InPA” programs through the activation of 300 curricular internships and 20 contracts for the research doctorates at 10 pilot administrations. In order to make public administration increasingly attractive to young people, measures have been adopted initiatives aimed at making competitive procedures simpler and more digital gone from an average of 780 days, before the pandemic, to 180 days. Thanks to the inPA portal, also available through a mobile application, it is possible to register for competitions with just a few clicks.

In conclusion, the Minister addressed a message of confidence to the new generations: “It is you young people, with your energy and passion, who can make a difference in Public Administration, for our communities and for our Country."
