Meloni: "create a tax system that is an ally of those who do business, not a tax system that is almost oppressive"
“With the tax delegation we want to create a tax system that is an ally of those who do business and produce wealth, not an enemy and almost oppressive tax system, this is our vision”.
This was stated by the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, in a video message to the ANCE assembly, the association of builders, which he defines as "an important interlocutor and is a very authoritative interlocutor of the government".
"You are - adds - not only builders of things, houses, buildings, roads, infrastructures, but also builders of knowledge and knowledge, of an intangible heritage that is transmitted from generation to generation".
“Having a procurement code based on trust between the State and businesses means having certain times and costs and the possibility of planning. Then it is clear that if trust is betrayed the response must be harsh because the first to suffer are companies that have respected the rules and citizens" but "we cannot start from the principle of guilt towards everyone as has been the case for too long". The Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, said this at the ANCE assembly. “We have overturned this paradigm in the procurement code and we intend to do so in many other reforms starting from the fiscal delegation”, adds.
“ANCE is an important and very authoritative interlocutor of the government. Your association represents one of those many intermediate bodies that make our society vital and that make up the productive and economic fabric of the Nation". The Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, says this in a video message for the assembly of the National Association of Building Contractors. “You are not only builders of things – of houses, buildings, roads and infrastructures – but you are also builders of knowledge and knowledge, of an intangible heritage that is transmitted from generation to generation”, the prime minister underlined: “You are builders of innovation, because this is exactly what those who do business do: they roll up their sleeves every day and find new, more efficient and more productive answers to perhaps ancient problems. You – he continued – operate in the field and without you those representing the institutions would lose their point of view on reality. Only through discussion and collaboration with those who face problems on a daily basis is it possible to find the best solutions. The Government knows this well and is demonstrated by the relationship it has established with the intermediate bodies and with the ANCE since its inception. Together with you we have been able to address and resolve key issues that have been a limitation for our nation for too long."
“It is necessary to lighten not only the fiscal position of companies but to reform the bureaucracy that torments them”. The Minister of Economy said it Giancarlo Giorgetti at the celebrations for the anniversary of the Gdf. "Too often in Italy, as a result of a causidic fury and detail, bureaucracy evolves into "scannocracy" as Carlo Collodi called it", he added, underlining that "we can no longer evade this fault of the State: we need the most practical reform of public administration: that based on evidence and common sense”.
“It is clear from this situation - he added - that the more severe monetary policy will have repercussions on our economy, but our production system is characterized by a high degree of solidity and ability to react and adapt to uncertain scenarios. All recent data confirm that Italian companies have increased their profitability, liquidity levels, with a constant increase in investments. A reconfirmation of the fact that our industrial strength is the primary source of our economic stability."
La fight against tax evasion must provide a strategy in which "the fight against VAT fraud on an international scale, aggressive tax planning schemes, corporate foreign investments in offshore jurisdictions and hidden stable organizations of multinational entities", should be combined with all the necessary initiatives "to encourage spontaneous compliance of taxpayers, within the framework of a relationship whose fundamental pillars are dialogue, openness to discussion and collaboration". The general commander of the Gdf says so Andrew DeGennaro in the speech for the 249th anniversary of the body.
The reduction of tax evasion is in fact one of the objectives set by the Pnrr to which the Gdf, underlines De Gennaro, “work with tenacity”. With the commitment to contribute to creating "a more just, more equitable, more supportive and more prosperous society". And that of dialogue and collaboration with citizens is a guideline to which, continues the general commander, "is accompanied by a rigorously selective approach in identifying operational objectives, the result of structured risk analyses" carried out with the best of what information and digital technology currently makes available.
De Gennaro then announces something new: a new direction with highly specialized figures will soon be established at the general command, "as a business translator and big data engineer" who will have the task "of giving even more impetus to the analysis, innovation and development processes".
