Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Italy, Croatia and Slovenia: Tajani went to Ancona
The Vice President of the Council and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Antonio Tajani, today, July 10, 2023, went to Ancona to participate in the Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Italy, Croatia and Slovenia dedicated to cooperation in the Northern Adriatic, which will see the participation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia, Tanja Fajon, and the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Gordan Grlić Radman.
At the center of the agenda of the Ancona meeting is cooperation on migration and how to further strengthen it. Themes related to connectivity, the economy of the sea, environmental protection and internal security will also be addressed with the aim of promoting the Northern Adriatic as a pole of integrated development, with high innovation and sustainability, relaunching the role of this area as a strategic hinge between international markets.
The works include a plenary session at the end of which the signing of a joint declaration is expected, followed by a joint press conference of the three Ministers at around 12.00 in the Orfeo Tamburi Auditorium. At the end of the trilateral meeting, the work will continue in the nearby town of Numana, with a working meeting in which the Austrian Foreign Minister, Alexander Schallenberg, will participate as a special guest.
The four-way meeting will focus on current international issues and the European agenda.
