Liguria, over 28 million for projects to improve the water network and reduce losses in the provinces of Imperia and La Spezia.

Over 28 million euros in funds PNRR to implement two projects to improve the water network and reduce water losses in the provinces of Imperia and La Spezia: it was indeed the ranking of financing proposals for projects presented by the ATOs and network managers has been approved by the Ministry of Infrastructure.
"These are important interventions – explains the Liguria Region Environment Councillor -, which have been positively evaluated and admitted to funding. The incoming funds will cover a significant percentage of the resources needed to intervene. These are projects presented by the Ato and network managers: Regione Liguria has strongly supported these plans so that they could obtain the necessary funds. The investments will go towards improving control technologies to prevent losses, as well as monitoring technologies to intervene promptly and reduce them. In a historical phase in which the problem of drought occurs with ever greater frequency, operations of this type are fundamental and represent one of the primary interventions to be implemented at the level of water networks to safeguard an indispensable resource such as water.".
The project concerning the La Spezia area, “Reduction of losses in water distribution networks, including digitalisation, network monitoring and rehabilitation of network sections” was financed with 11 million and 539 thousand euros (out of a total value of 13 million and 639 thousand euros). As regards the Imperia area, the project entitled “Leak Reduction Project – Ato Ovest Imperia – Riviera dei Fiori” was financed with 16 million and 945 thousand euros (out of a total value of 18 million and 445 thousand euros).
