Inauguration of the work of the first OIV International Wine Conference, organized by the OIV and the Italian Government in Franciacorta. Minister Lollobrigida was present.

"The world of wine is celebrating its centenary here in Italy, a page of pride for our winemakers. We asked to start the celebrations right here because our nation wants to be a protagonist in every sector, it wants to show the world how we can protect the environment, guarantee workers' rights and produce excellence".

Thus the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, Francesco Lollobrigida, inaugurating the work of the first OIV International Wine Conference, organized by the OIV and the Italian Government in Franciacorta. “Together with 30 other international delegations from as many Nations, we met to discuss and understand how research and innovation can protect production and the territory. It's the goal we set ourselves. It is right to discuss it at an international level and Italy is the protagonist", continued Minister Lollobrigida.

“The valorization of wine is for us, as President Giorgia Meloni recalled in her opening greeting, a story of identity. It is one of the challenges of Made in Italy towards increasingly higher quality. The farmer, in our opinion, is the first environmentalist on the planet because he has his income and his passion in the land. Our objective is to try to align our development model with quality and territory, without having to negatively impact farmers' income", concluded the minister.
