Frassinetti Institute, City Palace and Torangius Social Centre: the projects approved by the Sanna Council.

Oristano, on the proposal of theCouncilor for Public Works Simone Prevete, the Sanna Council has approved the resolutions for the safety and energy efficiency of the lower secondary school Grazia Deledda, hosted in the Frassinetti Institute, and for the efficiency of the Palazzo di Città. On the proposal of the same councilor Prevete and of theSocial Services Councilor Carmen Murru the framework requirements for the adaptation works of the Torangius social aggregation center were instead approved

"The municipal council has launched these important measures on some public buildings, allocating overall over one million 100 thousand euros financed with the PNRR, with programming territorial and with municipal funds – explains the Mayor Massimiliano Sanna -. For the Frassinetti institute we intervene with 596 thousand euros, for the Torangius social center with 221 thousand euros and for the City palace with 310 thousand euros”.

“To complete the community center and finally guarantee its reopening, at the end of a long closure, we use resources from disposals – adds the Mayor Sanna -. The intervention on the Frassinetti Institute aims to complete the one started in 2021, the day after of the closure of the building in via Santulussurgiu which housed Grazia Deledda. On that occasion, to be able to quickly return the school to the families of the Sacred Heart neighborhood, yes proceeded to secure and carry out the works necessary for the needs teaching".

Frassinetti Institute:
"'The planned intervention includes extraordinary maintenance work to ensure safety and the redevelopment of the building – specifies the Councilor for Public Works Simone Prevete - there is the objective of reorganizing and securing the part of the building, body B, in order to make the 14 classrooms included inside it safe and functional, equipping the building school of a new air conditioning system with an external machine and internal units of the floor and wall fan coil type. All neon lighting fixtures will be replaced with LED ones more performing. The old tile roofing will be dismantled, waterproofed and insulated with new tiles similar to the current ones. On the façade, all parts with detachments and damages will be removed, the window jambs, architraves and roof cornices will be restored."Nuova Grazia Deledda

City Palace:
"The project concerns the building known as the City Palace, home to the Municipal Technical Office – underlines the Councillor Expect -. The works will concern the replacement of fixtures, replacement of the air conditioning system (heat pump and internal units), the removal of the old ones radiators no longer working and the replacement of lighting fixtures".

Torangius Social Centre:
"For the Torangius Social Centre, closed since 2017 due to leaks from the roof, the Sanna Council has approved a framework of interventions with the aim of achieving a rapid reopening, hopefully by September - observes the Councilor for Social Services -. In this way, the premises in via Satta will be made free, which since 2017 have hosted the activities of the municipal toy library and for which an extraordinary maintenance project has already been approved to return it to its function as a kindergarten".

“Between 2021 and 2022 the building was involved in the redevelopment of the roof, with the replacement of the outermost layers and part of the wooden structure, part of the windows and doors were replaced and the floors renewed – adds the Councilor for Public Works Simone Prevete -. To allow full use of the building it is necessary to adapt the systems to standards, carry out ordinary maintenance with the repair of plaster and paint and the installation of an air conditioning system".
