EU Foreign Affairs Council, Tajani's presence
The Vice President of the Council and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation the Hon. Antonio Tajani will be in Luxembourg today, 26 June 2023, to participate in the Foreign Affairs Council of the European Union.
The Council, chaired by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, has as its first item on the agenda the crisis in the Russian Federation, on which the Vice Premier yesterday had repeated contacts with the G7 homologues.
The 27 Foreign Ministers will discuss the situation in Ukraine and the general prospects of Russian aggression in the country, also discussing with Foreign Minister Kuleba via connection from Kiev.
They will then exchange views on relations between the EU and Latin America and the Caribbean, in preparation for the EU-CELAC summit of heads of state and government scheduled to be held in Brussels on 17-18 July.
Following this, the Council will move on to the main current issues, in particular with updates in the context of the dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo, on the situation in Tunisia, and in Nagorno-Karabakh.
