Emilia-Romagna: 5,2 million euros of European funds for job placement and career support services provided by Universities, Conservatories and Academies
A land that trains talents, holds them back, at the attracts e accompanies them into the job market. The Emilia Romagna region continues the journey implementation of regional law n. 2 of 2023 which is precisely what it concerns the attraction, permanence and valorisation of talents.
La Regional Council ha approved a resolution that finances with over 5,2 million euros interventions and work support services in favor of universities and institutes for higher artistic, musical and dance education (AFAM). The two are involved University and Research departments and at the Economic development and training.
Actions that fully contribute to the objective of promoting talent in the field of research and innovation, in conjunction with the universities, research bodies and other entitiesthe institutions involved at regional level.
There are various areas of intervention covered by this action: from system actions to qualification and strengthening of services placement ai direct services to people on employment and professional opportunities (also operating in the field of research) for those who attend and train at the Universities and AFAM of Emilia-Romagna. The aim is to promote the connection between the education and research system and the regional production system, thus facilitating undergraduates, graduates and PhD students.
Projects that the Region undertakes to finance with resources which come from the Regional Program of the European Social Fund+ (2021-2027), also in the framework of support foropenness and international attractiveness of the academic offer in the region.
The winners of the tender
They are overall 11 i institute projects who responded to the regional tender and who were all approved with the following sums: a Piacenza the Catholic University (270 thousand euros), the Polytechnic of Milano (266 thousand) and the “Giuseppe Nicolini” Conservatory (110 thousand); the Universities of Parma, Modena-Reggio Emilia e Ferrara receive 780 thousand euros each and the Vecchi-Tonelli Conservatory of Music of Modena 90 thousand euros. Bologna the projects of the Alma Mater (1,7 million euros) and the Academy of Fine Arts (268 thousand euros) are financed. TO Ravenna finally, 90 thousand euros each go to the Giuseppe Verdi Higher Institute of Musical Studies and the Academy of Fine Arts.
The winners of the tender were asked to connect their services with the network of reception and information desks recently funded in favor of the main municipalities of the territory and the Metropolitan City of Bologna and also aimed at the integration and valorization of talents and their families. For this objective, each winning entity will have to establish a steering and evaluation committee to allow a unitary feedback and comparison on the results to be achieved throughout the implementation of the project.
Universities, Academies and Consultants will also receive the support of Emilia Romagna region and ART-ER to promote specific minimum standards established at regional level within the general framework of the implementation of the law for the attraction and development of talent.
The services provided
The activities that will be financed include information tools that allow the occupational and productive vocations of the territories to be illustrated, as well as the promotion of career and professional opportunities offered by the local production system through, for example, the organization of study and career day involving companies. Career opportunities also include research opportunities in Emilia-Romagna.
The second objective is to understand the vocations and ambitions of our young talents and promote the meeting between supply and demand of work (career matching). This connection will also involve the vocational training system, to promote the enrichment of university, post-university and research paths through the acquisition of high skills.
Finally, it will be possible to promote knowledge to make opportunities for business creation and start-up projects more accessible start-up.
