Italy-Libya Cooperation: Meeting of Minister Zangrillo with the Minister of Local Government Badereddine El Tumi

Accompanying Libyan public administrations in their decentralization process, building a joint program of training activities and exchange of good practices, strengthening the participation of Libyan officials in initiatives to strengthen administrative capacity organized at the OECD Training Center at the SNA headquarters in Caserta. In their first meeting, held on the sidelines of the ComoLake Conference at Villa Erba in Cernobbio., the Minister for Public Administration Paul Zangrillo and the Minister of Local Government Badereddine El Tumi have shared a common path to support Libyan PAs – at both central and peripheral levels – in their path of modernization and progressive digitalization.

“I am very pleased to have met my Libyan colleague, with whom we have outlined a program of training activities to be launched in the coming months, highlighting first of all the OECD Training Center on Public Governance that the National School of Administration has hosted at its headquarters in Caserta since 2013 and which has already welcomed a delegation of Libyan officials in 2022”, said the Minister Zangrillo, which also highlighted the interest that the Libyan delegation has shown in the reality of the territorial training centers started in Italy by the Department of Public Function and Territorial Administrations.
