Protection and conservation of nature and biodiversity, through monitoring activities and land management to preserve local ecosystems, habitats and endangered plant and animal species.
With these objectives the Emilia-Romagna Region has decided to support with another 641 thousand euros the Management Bodies for the Parks and Biodiversity of Western, Central, Eastern Emilia and Romagna, contributing significantly to both operating costs and investments. Resources that are added to the over 3,6 million euros (3.635.984) already recently allocated.
The new funds are distributed on the basis of the extension of the protected areas of competence and their type (parks, nature reserves, protected natural and semi-natural landscapes). They are aimed at covering the costs for the protection of environmental biodiversity, the launch of new and further valorization projects, the restoration of degraded ecosystems, all to guarantee more effective action and greater support for monitoring activities in the regional territory.
Not only. Thanks to the contributions, the authorities will be able to promote eco-sustainable tourism, environmental education and the ordinary maintenance of infrastructures such as, for example, the path network and visiting facilities and everything that can guarantee the best use of parks for everyone and protected areas.
