Arezzo, “Regenerations”: ideas for the Pionta Park.

The results of the process will be presented on Wednesday 8 June at 10,30 amRegenerations. Re-inhabiting the Pionta Park”, a complex participatory planning process to regenerate one of the symbolic parks of Arezzo promoted by the University of Siena, department of Historical Sciences and Cultural Heritage (DISPOC) of the Arezzo branch, in collaboration with the APS Narrazioni Urbane, with the contribution of the Regional Authority for the participation and patronage of the Municipality.

Appointment open to citizens at 10,30 am in room 1 of the Women's building on the university campus.

After the institutional greetings of the rector Francesco Frati, there will be speeches by Professor Cristina Capineri, director of the DISPOC of the University of Siena, by Professor Francesca Bianchi, scientific director of the project, by the councilor for urban planning, construction, urbanization works, policies for the landscape Francesca Lucherini, the general director of the South East Tuscany Local Health Authority Antonio D'Urso and the representatives of Narrazioni Urbane. It will also be possible to connect online from this link.

In the afternoon, a self-construction workshop organized by Riccardo Cont and Maddalena Graziani, Florentine designers and artisans, is scheduled from 16pm to 19pm. Using light equipment, simple temporary structures will be created with the participation of the participants to support and encourage participation in periodic events and daily attendance of the park.

The installations will remain available to the University and will be managed as "symbols" of the shared commitment to restore identity to this place. The maximum number of participants is 30. Registration required by writing to nu@narrazioniurbane.it or by calling 3288476320.
