Alessandria, Palazzo Cuttica will lend 5 works by Bagetti to the Royal Palace of Venaria

These are works that represent the Battle of Marengo and Napoleon's relationship with Alessandria and Piedmont

Alessandria, the City of Alessandria, contributes, with the loan of some civic-owned works, to the "Theatre of History and Magnificence" visit itinerary, created at the Royal Palace of Venaria.
The route will exhibit Napoleon's carriage belonging to the collections of the Stupinigi hunting lodge recently restored at the “La Venaria Reale” Conservation and Restoration Center in the Juvarriana Scuderia, from 5 May to 5 September 2021.
Already preserved at the Napoleonic Museum of Marengo from 1846 to 1947, the carriage then passed onto the antiques market, becoming the property of Gustavo Adolfo Rol (1903-1994). Finally, in 1955, it reached the Stupinigi hunting lodge, an asset of the Mauritian Order Foundation, thanks to the action of Noemi Gabrielli, then Superintendent of the Galleries for Piedmont.
The City of Alessandria provides the route with 5 works by Giuseppe Pietro Bagetti, known internationally for his ability to effectively narrate the Battle of Marengo and Napoleon's relationship with Alessandria and Piedmont.
