Alessandria, applications for the 2021 Adelio Ferrero Award are open

Alessandria, on the initiative of the Municipality of Alessandria, the Circolo del Cinema Adelio Ferrero, with the ASM Costruire Insieme, the Edizioni Falsopiano, the Italian Cineforum Federation, the Culture and Development Association, organizes the thirty-seventh edition of the Ferrero Prize.

The Adelio Ferrero Festival – Cinema and Criticism is an event dedicated to the memory of the film critic Adelio Ferrero (1935-1977), protagonist of Alexandrian culture, professor of cinema at the DAMS at the University of Bologna, founder of the magazine “Cinema e Cinema ”, first President of the Teatro Comunale of Alessandria, within which the prize of the same name for young critics was awarded.

A prestigious occasion, aimed at promoting the meeting and exchange of ideas between critics, directors and simple cinema enthusiasts which, with the final awards ceremony in October, brings together authoritative names in cinema art and culture on the Alexandrian scene ( but not only) for conferences, workshops, debates and screenings.

The Award is reserved for authors of essays, video essays and reviews on cinema and television topics; the topics may concern cinema, television, and audiovisual media in general in different formats, including web, with particular regard to authors, works, trends, theory, relationships with philosophy and the arts, without any limitation of time, place, aspect or perspective.
