Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs Maria Tripodi in Denmark: possible collaboration for renewable energy and biotechnology
Undersecretary Maria Tripodi in Copenhagen to strengthen relations with Denmark on the topic of renewable energy, biotechnology and green shipping.
The visit to Copenhagen took place yesterday Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs Maria Tripodi, achieved in the name of a dynamic plan of collaborations and common objectives between Italy and Denmark. Considering the promising prospects that are also opening up thanks to the complementarity between businesses and universities of the two countries, Undersecretary Tripodi conducted a series of meetings with local authorities from which shared approaches emerged in many of the common priority dossiers.
Tripodi reiterated the Government's commitment to implementing the plans outlined in National PNRR with its counterpart at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lina Gandlose Hansen, with the Undersecretary of Industry, Michael Dithmer, and with the Director for Trade and Foreign Investment of Dansk Industri, Peter Thagelsen. The Undersecretary focused on the potential of the collaborations already underway between Italian and Danish universities in the field of renewable energy, biotechnology and green shipping. Furthermore, he underlined the priority commitment to sustainability in all sectors, including that of the new architecture of cities and services. The message, shared by the Danish representatives, was important, relating to the Italian agenda for the next G7, to the partnership with Africa that Italy wants to keep in the foreground and to the relevance of relations with Latin America, to encourage the contrast to the current crises and a network of prosperous relations for Europe. In this context, the Undersecretary mentioned Rome's candidacy to host EXPO 2030, highlighting its strong potential in terms of innovation and for the economy.
