Tajani sees Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric: «Our economies are increasingly interconnected».
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, will meet today at the Farnesina with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Djuric.
«We want to give continuity to the increasingly intense bilateral dialogue between Italy and Serbia. The Balkans are a region geographically and historically very close to us and to which the Government gives top priority", said the deputy prime minister. «The meeting with Minister Djuric will allow me to reiterate the importance of the strategy to relaunch Italian action in the Western Balkans».
«Our economies are increasingly interconnected. The Italian-Serbian business forum that we organized in May in Trieste allowed us to further strengthen the ties between Italian and Serbian companies», the Minister recalled Tajani, highlighting the Government's commitment to continue in the direction of strengthening the economic partnership with Belgrade.
The meeting will allow us to underline Italian support for Serbia's European path: «We are convinced supporters of Serbia's entry into the European Union. We need to work on accelerating this path. The Serbian people are part of the European family"he concluded Tajani.
