Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has arrived zagabria, Croatian capital for working onEU strategic agenda 2024-2029. The Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, met the President of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, Andrej Plenković, and the President of the European Council Charles Michel.
A bilateral meeting with Croatian institutions is scheduled for Friday evening: with Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovich, then with the president of the Croatian parliament, Sabor, Gordan Jandrokovic. Maltese Prime Minister Robert Abela and outgoing Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki were also invited to participate by the President of the European Council.
“Italy and Croatia, neighboring nations united by deep ties. I am happy to be here many years after the last visit of an Italian Prime Minister to enhance our friendship and relaunch strategic cooperation between our peoples", wrote the Prime Minister after arriving in Zagreb and meeting the President of the Government of the Republic of Croatia. The last institutional meeting appears to date back to 2003, when the then Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi met with the Croatian institutions.
One of the central objectives for these business meetings is the joint management of migratory phenomena. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni continues to build equal partnerships with allied countries for collaboration in managing the phenomenon.
