Piantedosi meets the Minister of the Interior of Qatar at the Interior Ministry

The Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi met the Minister of the Interior of Qatar on 6 June at the Interior Ministry Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. “Qatar – declared Minister Piantedosi – is a strategic partner of Italy, with which we share the need to further strengthen our bilateral cooperation. Our police leaders are in contact to implement structured forms of collaboration in matters of mutual interest, such as training in the management of large events, the fight against organized and financial crime, and cybersecurity".

During the cordial conversation, the two Ministers discussed the main global threats and the implications for internal security deriving from international crisis scenarios and the potential terrorist actions of lone actors. "In this context - concluded the owner of the Interior Ministry – I believe the timely exchange of information to combat criminal organizations is of fundamental importance."
