Oristano, the ordinance banning barrels in the municipal territory has been signed.

Il Mayor di Oristano Massimiliano Sanna signed the ordinance with which barrels of any kind are prohibited throughout the municipal territory by midnight of the 30th December to the midnight of the 6 January 2023.

“This year too we confirm a measure of civility which aims to protect the well-being of weak subjects and animals frightened by noise – explains Mayor Sanna – There are many citizens who every year ask for this measure which, it is worth underlining, is not only for the benefit of animals. In fact, let us remember that banning bangers serves to prevent accidents of which people who use them too casually are often victims and that the same noise that scares animals can also be harmful to weak subjects, children, the elderly and suffering people who are exposed to psycho-physical stress".

Violators will be punished with an administrative fine by 25 a 500 €.
