Oristano: a memorandum of understanding signed with the Guardia di Finanza for the strengthening of controls on the PNRR.
Il Mayor of Oristano, Massimiliano Sanna, and the Provincial Commander of the Financial Police, Giancarlo Sulsenti, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the strengthening of control activities to protect the correct use of funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) for the benefit of the relevant territory.
Il Valid identity document, signed this morning at Palazzo Campus Colonna, provides for the timely and systematic flow of information from the Municipality – implementing body of various projects financed by the PNRR for a total, to date, of over 45 million euros – in relation to the summary data of the planned interventions and their implementers, as well as the possibility of reporting any elements of risk or anomalies detected during project management.
Among planned activities those too aimed at preventing and combating corruption, fraud, as well as to avoid i conflicts of interest and the risk of double public financing of the interventions.
"Municipality of Oristano and Guardia di Finanza renew a collaborative relationship which over the years has borne excellent fruit - says Mayor Sanna -. I remember the memorandum of understanding for the control of the positions of beneficiaries of public contributions in the social sector, signed a few years ago, and more generally a fruitful and continuous institutional collaboration".
La Finance Police, economic-financial police force with tasks of protecting public spending, will be able to use the information thus acquired for guide prevention action, research and repression of crimes to the detriment of the budget of the Municipality, the State and the European Union, towards subjects and contexts characterized by higher risk indices.
Il Information flow will result particular relevance also in relation to the activities of the Unitary Territorial Presidium support to local administrations established at the local Prefecture and of which the Guardia di Finanza is part, for the purpose of carrying out specific analyzes aimed at preventing any infiltration of crime in the execution chain of the works.
The signed agreement fits into a larger one framework of attention that the Oristano institutions direct to the correct use of public resources on the provincial territory, with the aim of ensuring compliance with legality, transparency as well as the implementation of the planned works in favor of the community.
